That works in this city because we have a fantastic transit system. Parking garages are a waste of real estate anyway. More tax can be generated from business and lodging. Only cage commuters lose their shit from developments like these because they're heavily invested in suburban real estate

This is actually a really big milestone.
Traditionally it’s been really hard to remove parking from city center areas, but here we have cases of private developers removing it on their own because there’s not enough demand.

Even this is unnecessary. Housing demand in urban areas is at an all time high. I can guarantee if a few less people who "need" space for their car don't look at a property because it lacks parking, the rate the property fills up will be the same. For every guy needing a parking spot there's probably 100 who don't and will gladly live there.
