last ski accident I had I fell off an embankment and into a snow drift
the bad luck was to land on top of a very thin part of the drift that was hiding a large rock
even with the helmet on I got a concussion and memory loss

it got to the point that the police will sometimes give people helmets rather than keep fining the same person over and over

as legally the sign dictating parking conditions has to be readily apparent and visible
some neglected to put up new signs as the old ones wore out or became obscured by the growth of trees and shrubs
others were just deliberately obstructive and trying to trick people into violating parking conditions
this kind of thing keeps coming up because bogus charges are too hard and costly to fight in the courts, its easier just to pay the fine
and disputes only get bought up when a rich person is inconvenienced or a lot of people get so angry it becomes worth it to them to fight the charges on principal
