In my old neighborhood, I'd get the cops on me for night rides, because who would be riding at this time of night? There were NO real public spaces, and of the few parks, you were strictly regulated as to what you could do there.
There were no concerts. The only movies were the giant megaplexes. No restaurants but Applebees, no stores of chains.
It was a capitalist hellhole with no soul.
