for the seatpost: what i do is usually sand it down, then use a steel wool of sorts to give some shine and apply as much varnish or clear coat as i can (on the exposed parts of course).
if all else fails: grey spray paint lmao

downtube looks cool, i guess you cold get some better aesthetics by routing the rear brake cable below the top tube in a straight line, sort of creating a outline of the front triangle.
remember to clean those large amounts of housing, friction can be a bitch
