>>1417532great post OP, i totally agree
there is just something more authentic about the experience of a brakeless fixed-gear velocipede
people just love fake plastic convenience so much. i am not like other people. i prefer to live an authentic life with simple, high-quality products like a lugged steel brakeless fixed gear bicycle
i might not go as fast up hills but when i'm out on my fixed gear bicycle i feel a true connection to the world around me that you just can't find sitting on a couch or riding a freewheel plastic bicycle
thats just me. i like things simple and real, like they used to be. sometimes i think we have lost our way, but i don't judge others. i just live a simpler life with high quality products that will last a lifetime. "buy it for life" they call it. i shave with a straight razor, i ferment my own cabbage, and i roll my own cigarettes. that's just life for me. takes a little bit of extra time, sure, but the satisfaction of swallowing fermented cabbage after drinking a french pressed, fresh-ground coffee and smoking an unfiltered Drum tobacco cigarette just before riding to work on my fixed gear bicycle is something people just can't really understand these days, since they are not like me. maybe one day people will start to see things differently
