What to do with a damaged Lime-S?

No.1425181 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
So some p.m. tossed a damaged Lime-S scooter in a well-kept lot near my house this week. (Not the one in the picture)

Apparently, he was too lazy to take the green plastic part off from below the animal and like the animal he is chipped his way into it like a squirrel chewing on a trashcan lid to get in to that unit to take out the GPS unit and quite possibly the SIM card. The circuit board inside it looks so messed up. It may need to be replaced if any technological features are needed for it to work right.

As an added bonus, he cut either some power wire or the brake line to the rear wheel.

It had been raining yesterday, so there may be some water damage.

Not wanting it to spend a week littering my neighborhood and be damage any further, I took it to my garage for the night.

Two thoughts are in my head:
1. Keeping it is considered "stealing". But if somebody else stole it and damage it, and if I want to fix it, would I be a thief myself?
2. Returning it would be just as worse as Lime would just throw it away. This is a $400 piece of hardware with salvagable parts that could easily be replaced and rebuilt, but that this company will write off as a loss creating e-waste in a landfill.

I had been contemplating a new bike for some time. I wish the little shit would have tossed a Lime Bike instead considering how many bikes Lime wasted last year to replace them with scooters.

What do you think, /n/?
