I'm trying to decide which mountain bike to buy.
Canyon's "Neuron 7 AL SL" or Canyon's "Spectral 5 AL".
I was set on the Canyon's Neuron 7 AL SL; I want to spend an extra $500 to upgrade from the Neuron 6 AL because the 7 has no front derailleur and weighs 2lbs less.
This Spectral 5 AL is $200 more than the Nueron 7 AL SL, at $2700. It weighs two pounds more. A guy who was recently considering getting the Neuron AL 7 SL told me he went with the Spectral 5 AL instead because it was a better bike with a newer frame.
I'd like your advice /n/, which of the two bikes is the winner here? The Spectral 5 AL or the Neuron 7 AL SL?
For riding, I want to do beginner mountain bike trails (eventually working up to intermediate) and long running paths. From my research I think that means an all-rounder trail bike would be a better fit for me than an Enduro bike.
Also, if there's a much better deal on a nicer all-rounder trail bike for less than $2500, I'd like to know!
