How to I clean my bike in the winter?
I don't have flowing water available outside. Should I take it to a car wash?

Brush it. Actually, washing your bike in general is bad if you actually use it, messes up the grease within bearings and water can become stuck inside cables or the frame. Just use a brush and a damp cloth to get rid of the clumped muck. Make sure to use the opportunity to perform a thorough visual inspection.

I've seen people talking about bringing their bike into the shower to hose it off. That said, I've forgotten a lot of the detail about how they handle water trapped in bearings or what have you; you really don't want that to freeze in place.

Where do you even live?! You don’t need it anyway, a bucket and a sponge in a well-lit indoor area is more than enough for a bicycle. They’re not that big or that dirty a thing.

Try it all, stick to whatever works best.
I've defaulted to not washing during winter.
Sponge and warm bucked in spring.
Carwash doesn't scrub various buildups and will damage bearings if you try too hard.
Some say spraying silicone keeps dirt away longer and it can be simply wiped then.
