The system needs to entirely take care of the trip. You must not have to waste even a single thought or consideration at any point.
That includes stuff like:
1. Getting alerted to get off the train/bus.
2. Precise indications on how to get to the connecting service.
3. In case of missed transfers an automatic route recalculation including consideration for free ticket upgrades to, say, faster services under those circumstances.
But there is so much more, and no fucking app can do all that at the moment.
You have to completely remove responsibility from the user/passenger. You have to carry it for him. That's what he will gladly pay for, and he maybe will never even think about getting a private automobile in return.
