>>1442506I won't deny that living a suburban life is enjoyed by some, yourself included. Nevertheless let me rebut your points.
>Never half to walk more than 50 yards in the heat, cold, rain, snow.Depends on how close you can park to your destination. Also, because many people never have to walk, they never do walk, and then they end up fat.
>Go anywhere within 8 miles for lunchNot everyone likes to eat out for lunch. Also, you should consider whether you want to live or work somewhere near a good place to eat if you regularly do that.
>No panhandlers, smelly peopleOh good, out of sight out of mind. Not your problem.
>Leave early or lateLive somewhere with decent public transport and it runs early and late.
>run errands without having to wait for the bus's scheduleIt's clear you don't live in a place with high frequenc transport. Places that do will also not require you to travel long distances for 'errands' like shopping. Delivery is also one option for things like furniture.
>can't hear your neighboursA good advantage of living somwhere quiet. The trade off for living inner city is convenience, like just walking around the corner to pick up a bottle of milk for breakfast because you didn't feel like going shopping last night after work (along with everybody else in the neighbourhood, at peak time).
>dogs, dogs, dogsDog ownership is chaining yourself to an animal. I don't care if you think you're a good animal owner. Animal companionship is not a replacement for human relationship. Animals also kill wildlife and spread disease. Speaking of dog owners and suburbs, have fun if you have a neighbour with a bad dog that barks all night. That will still make your neighbours "plot to poison your dog".
>You can stuff your car full of half pallets from the warehouse club and bring it to your doorstep. At half the markup of juan's corner bodega.Mmm, I love my monthly supply of frozen pizzas, butter and cheese whiz. Fresh produce is overrated.
