This is Union Station in KC. Half of all servicemen deployed in WW2 Pacific Theater passed through this train station.

Similar thing happened in Macon, GA. Beautiful station building, kept alive as a wedding reception/event venue.

On a separate note, I really like Budapest's Keleti station.

Toronto's current Union Station is quite nice on the inside, but the older building, demolished around 1927 was much more impressive on the outside. It was considered poorly laid out and inefficient, however, prompting it's replacement.
