My opinion of buying new is that you should not. Value loss of new stuff is massive in the first year.
Technically, the bike is probably fine. Wether the price is justified, is a matter of philosophy. But If you just need to get it out of your system, do it. Just note that expensive bikes are expensive to run.

I bought "latest/greatest" new twice. regretted it both times.

I ordered one in my lbs for 3600 euros
They had a discount.
After 2 years of cycling I reached an FTP of 330W and wanted to spoil myself with a nice bike
I use Zwift a lot
My current bike is a claris equipped endurance bike @11 kg

If they didn't have a discount I would not buy it.
Also I'm 75kg and a sprinter so I don't mind that the Madone weighs 8.6kg.

My body shape is wonky, so my dream bike will probably have to be custom. With my short torso nearly every bike "my size" has a top tube 50 mm too long. One day I'd like to have a stem over 50 mm.

The Madone attracted me the most because it best looking imo and very comfy because if the Iso speed decoupler.

Funny enough gravel bikes come with short stems
It's not twitchy because of the wider tyres and flared drop bars
30mm stem is no problem

It crossed my mind at first to get the black green one since I have a nice flouro winter kit but then I figured I'm gonna ride the Madone in nice weather only ( spring, summer, fall) to minimize the risk of a crash or others crashing into me.
My endurance bike is now my winter bike and for the Madone in gonna buy some castelli stuff and new shoes (fizik r5 coral red) because I have mtb clickless pedals on my winter bike

VAT in Germoney is 19% in my country it's 25% so that's why it's 3600 and not 3400.

Idk what his old bike is, but in terms of geometry it's essentially identical to an old Trek 1.1 (Claris) except with half a cm more frame reach and more room to lower the bars. Their current entry-tier bikes (domane al) are "endurance" fit.

No I didn't
I'm doing stretching exercises with a foam roller and started going to the gym to strengthen all of my muscles.
I'm doing 3day a week full body with free weights. Bench press, squats, deadlifts, clean and jerk are my core exercises

Also the first month or two I'm gonna mount the Madone on my smart trainer and ride it in my house until im fully adjust to the geometry

domane is a more interesting bike right now because it can take wider tires and has in-frame storage so is a lot more versatile than the madone. it loses a bit of aero but unless you're already in marginal gainz land for aero it won't matter much
