Do you have any idea how much gear you get to legitimately use in those conditions?
I only ride in -25c and it's balaclava under the helmet, thermals obviously, ski jacket, pic related mittens for brifters, SPD snow boots...
Even with all that, more than half an hour and my toes are going to suffer so at -38c with some wind chill, I'm thinking bar mitts and shoe covers too, I've got them too but haven't really needed them at the balmy -25c that is the worst I usually get.
