Making that shit will be eventually get thrown out, it never decomposes, it poisons and suffocates wildlife, especially the young ones.
Use metal, it is recyclable, it won't poison wildlife and won't explode on you hitting a single pothole. If it wears you down riding metal then you should hit the gym more often.
