>>1446836>>1446940>cheapishmight want to check the center of mass of your E bike, could be grok as fuck
the location of the battery and motor are significant
but also the geometry of the bike back and forward even for ordinary bikes with no load or racks
such as
high seat
short chain stays
short wheel base
long reach between seat and handle bars
massive handle bar drop
tiny front wheels
quckest check is to just lift the bike at diffrent points to find where the balance is
try lifting the bike from the front of the seat or from the top tube just ahead of the seat, this should balance bikes with a rear bias or with front suspension
lifting whist holding the seat post and steering stem is almost always an even lift
very few bikes can be picked up front the middle of the top tube
this is of course in the realm of average bikes
>rear wheel skids to the rightthis is much harder to pin down as the forces involved are subtle
it could be some asymmetry in your handling of the bike
if there is some feature of the bike that causes it to drift to one side eventually you would learn compensate for that by changing the position of your body
in all but a few bikes the chain stays are asymmetric, but I've yet to encounter a bike where this has caused a problem
as most frames conform to oem spec and had no further damage
>>1446969panic braking is a common cause
its avoided most of the time by having enough time to react
but if your caught by surprise it can be reflexive
such as in
>>1446977>>1447411front brakes do most of the work but the rear brake still has many slight uses to balance the bike more than to bring it to a halt
my worst / least liked crashes have been when Ive lost traction on the front wheel
its very quick and hard to recover from
