Insider from the industry here. Carbon fibre and carbon nanotubes will become the new asbestos within 10-20 years. In fact the stuff is even worse than asbestos (more entanglements, impossible to break down).
Do NOT work with carbon fibre, repair carbon fibre or use carbon fibre if you value your lungs. This is seriously not a meme, just a warning.
