FUCK DISC. I decided to finally get a disc bike and my size 13 feet hit the fucking swoopy chainstay on my stupid $1,000 fuji touring disc. I wanted to put on my Low Q factor cranks and my fucking heels at hitting the chainstay on XT cranks
And fuck 10 speed. Fucking what the fuck do I need 10 speed for on a 3x touring crank??? and what the fuck did you do to the fucking XT crank the chainrings are paper thin now.

AND I already removed every part from the bike like a good nerd. I can't return it. I peeled off the labels on the wheels. It's all in pieces now. God damn it. I don't want any part from it. The bars are shit, the bar ends are 10sp-only microshit, the tektro giger levers are stupid, the XT is 10 speed bullshit, the crank is ugly and not even square taper. God damn it. I am never buying disc again and I am never riding anything above 9 speed. I will never buy a new bike, in fact. The bike industry needs to DIE for this disc bullshit. Hi OP, my Mountain Bike broke last week. Also Shimano I don't know if the brands gone lower quality or if they're just selling their gear on any frame.

Hopefully I can trade this pos in, I really don't want to pay to fix the flipping thing or pay to junk it.

Yeah I'm debating rebuilding and recabling the fuji stock and selling for a loss. I think I might convert it to a single speed and keep it like a bike a shame. Fucking $1,000 dollars for a bike that forces me to change my entire riding style. Fucking hell.
Now I urgently need to start buying up rim brake bikes and 9 speed gear while it is still around

I wear size 14 shoes and never hit the chainstay on my disc brake road bike. Do you have tiny girl hips or something? My cleats are set up to have my toes point slightly in, straight is incredibly unnatural.

People who flinch at the price of ACTUAL disc brakes and not "I'm gonna LARP as a disc brake with my shitty cable shitters" should stick to rim brakes, this has been known for a long time

I have flat pedals
DISC is the problem because the chainstays are curved like that to accommodate a flat mount disc brake. The driver side swoop is just for symmetry.
I have opened three other touring frames without disc and never had a problem with any chainstay and heelstrike, because they see not curved like this

This is the only asshole here that is correct about my mistake.. However I ordered it online because I needed the XXXL size so I could not test ride it beforehand.

Not realizing how incompatible everything Shimano 10 speed is icing on the cake. I hate every part of this bike

Also if the implication is that the scary darkies are going to rob you, what makes you think they'd be especially swayed by the fact that you're running current spec R7020 and not embarrassing RS405? Let alone that your biggest concern on a heavily planned once in a lifetime bike vacation where you no longer have a bike is the fact that you could have saved $350 by getting yourself robbed of a cheaper bike?

Much of Africa is safe, tho the drivers suck. Rwanda is really nice, but if you really wanna go off the beaten path, Namibia is cool and kinda alien with the giant dunes, fairy circles, herds of elephants and giraffe, and it's weird but it feels old and forgotten, which it mostly is. Most people will have no idea where you're going. Anyway, having some rando steal your shit isn't a huge concern, less than in a big city in a "developed" nation, but take the usual precautions. Nobody's going to fuck with getting tossed in jail or executed over some muzungu's ride, but your luggage is a different story.
