>>1457077Frameset on its own is worth about 300$ but you'd be sitting on it waiting for a buyer. Complete it might be... 500, maybe up to 900 in a few years.
Reason being, in a couple years it may be more desirable if late-90s/early-2000s aesthetics come up into prominence from younger gen xers and older millenials.
If you can store it and keep it from being damaged it might appreciate in value a bit since it really does look nice.
It's in a weird spot since it's not shitty but also not quite top end. Combine that with it being new enough to not be ""vintage"" and you have a class of bikes where there's still a lot of them kicking around in use or storage.
If someone bought a bike in that range, in 1998, you'd assume he was at least 22, probably more like 25 at the low end and maybe late 30s at the upper end. That would put him in his 40s, 50s or early 60s now, and assuming he hasn't crashed it it's either sitting in his garage while he takes his fred sled out or he's still riding it. You may get the occasional guy who had one and would pay top dollar for a "new old friend", but Peugeots were only commonly available in a few markets in specific eras outside of France.
Thus you have to bank on this becoming desirable because it looks 'vintage' in another few years.
It has those weird 90s silver bulbous ergonomic levers and the graphics are reminiscent of WipEout, so you might see some appreciation. But maybe not.
