Buses
1) should have the fare subsidised (at least where I'm at they're more expensive than cars in terms on the cost of gasoline for a distance traveled)
2) should let me tip the driver
3) fresh air. The new buses around here don't let people open the main windows. When the bus is full the air gets stale quick. Also when it's raining, the heater's on and the bus is full it gets like a sauna.
4) I wish I had a gf to take the bus with

In the midwest we clap at every stop, and shake hands with everyone that gets on the bus, but not the bus driver. Then when you're about to get off, you calculate a tip based on how long you've been on the bus, the weather conditions, the local and state taxes, and the friendliness of the driver, which you leave tucked under the seat.

I thought they were a tip from my fellow passengers for having such impeccable taste that I would choose to ride in the same seat that they did.
I always just tip the driver when paying for my ticket, and he tips me back straight away for being such a cool passenger.

Kind of a shame. My best experience was taking a bus in Italy and the driver's nonna was there, cooking a big pot of raviolli that she gave out to everyone. Kinda hard to downgrade to biscuits after that.
