I know it's very autistic to dislike people for minor things but I honestly lost all respect for this manlet after he made some video about fixing up an abandoned bike in the woods and started virtue signalling about how he wasn't going to take wd-40 in the woods because spraying aerosol for 5 seconds would harm muh environment.
Meanwhile he's a giant consoomer that has about 6 gorillion different bikes because obviously digging all that metal out of the ground and running some giant chink factory does hardly any harm compared to the horrors of wd-40.

I think he's based and entertaining. He knows how to be a great YouTuber, takes it very seriously, and is clearly very smart. Watching him build trails around his house is interesting too.
My only annoyance is the unquestioning presentation of new mtb tech without any discussion of practicality. It's just pure mtb bro swallow-what-industry-provides kind of attitude. I bet he has preferences but money talks. I was bummed when he dumped Box components because they're 8 speed wide range is genius and should be on more bikes

The bicycle was perfected years ago. All new tech is just meme tech without exception. "Yo bro we moved some of the cogs from the front to the back so you can be forced to crosschain 50% of the time!", "Yo bro we put an office chair cylinder under a seat because getting off your bike and undoing a quick release is such a difficult task - it's yours for just $200", "Yo bro we put motors in your derallieurs for absolutely no reason", "yo bro we replaced the frame material with one that snaps and gives you cancer, make sure you spend $100 on a torque wrench".

Seth makes sure he does everything the right way in his custom build workshop using only the correct Park Tool:tm: approved products. Meanwhile Sam builds all his bikes by putting them in a £25 Lidl bike stand and smashing them together with a hammer. He has never heard of grease and has never seen a blue coloured tool in his life. Yet he absolutely skill mogs everyone else.

He made decent content testing out product and showing parks. The parks pros and cons. The products pros and cons. Now he's just building a crappy park that nobody will ride once the views drop off, he let go a brand he was working hard with and advertising amazingly. I even thought about getting box products just by their price point as well as how easy they are to fix but he dropped them for some strange reason.

Slime, I don't understand why he dropped. He never really mentioned anything about the brand other then having a poster up on the wall.

He makes series then instantly drops them. He did 5 or so series of parks, then dropped it. He did 2 videos if that on BMX. He then did so much more and dropped them for a series that nobody really really enjoys.

His "dreams of building a bike park" is laughable at best.

He has 15+ bikes which isn't bad but rarely shows anything other then MUH BIKE PARK IN MUH YARD.

Berm creek was great as it would mix it up once in a while but now its only Berm peak or whatever the fuck its called now building shitty jumps, shitty berms and questionable trails...

LSS: been watching him since he lived in Florida now I watch the odd video here and there. Often opting for Sam P, MMD and a couple others.

Have you spent any time one a modern, carbon frame bike?

I rode whatever the top Giant Reign model was back in 07 when I was a kid. I now ride a 2020 mid-range enduro bike with carbon frame, wheels, and handle bars. The Reign is garbage tier compared my current bike.

The task was to fix up some seized up bike that was dumped in the woods so it was actually a case where wd-40 would have been the correct choice.
