Actually, a lot of rather short adults like BMXs because they are very sturdy, simple, & can be very lightweight compared to MTBs or Road Bikes.

I believe a lot of 80s kids who are adults now just have an attachment to them.

I pass people of all ages riding bikes every day, riding all types of bikes, some ride for fun (Kids mostly), some ride for exercise, some ride for sports, & some ride because they are poor & it's cheap transportation.

No matter what they ride, all of us who regularly use bicycles / trikes / quadracycles are find of the freedom & joy of riding, some obviously get more joy out of it than others.

The sticker plate still on the spokes means he is prob test riding it before giving it to his kid.

Used to work at a Walmart. Can absolutely confirm this is the case. At least twice a week someone would come in looking for a bike because of a DUI.

Never thought about that short guy BMX thing, makes sense though. Definitely simple though, you could go on to Hastings st with a 20$ bill and come out with enough parts for a ride-able BMX.

Correct as a general, also BMX bikes don't really come in "adult" sizes - BMX is BMX, outside some expensive, specialty ones. Though BMX can get really expensive if you start adding on quality showy parts.

But also that's not a BMX, it's a kid-size "MTB-Style" BSO.

Usually ridden on the footpath or the very edge of the road.
Will never be taken off road, but the user will want suspension for no reason at all.
