either way though, the point seems to be moot. the A321 already has a foothold, neither the NMA, 767x or 757x will change that. the only thing Boeing can do is evaluate which aircraft would be best suited to fit the role. both have their pros and cons. the 767 would be able to save more on tooling and get the aircraft out to market somewhat quicker, but it wouldn't exactly fit the role in a way that some airlines would like. the 757 would be a much better fit, but would take more time to get out to market.
