Tattoos and piercings used to be for people who had been on adventures far away and seen a lot of shit, merchant sailors stationed in China and stuff like that.
I think if someone has really been through some shit and fixed themselves and become a better person tattoos and piercings aren't such a bad thing.
The problem is your average starbucks latte drinking clones who are the most boring people alive and they all have the same political beliefs and watch the same shows and think they're so fascinating because they have full sleeve tattoos and a lot of piercings.
If those people didn't exist we wouldn't have such a knee jerk reaction to tattoos and piercings.
