>>1469675I am worried yeah. The front wheel is attached via quick-release. I tighten it to shit, but still don't trust it to not slip and have the fall damage the whole bicycle.
And, yeah, its probably around 20 pounds, but definitely more since Cr-Mo (Chromium / Molybdenum) frame material.
I get your point.
>>1469688I appreciate this. Puts me at ease. Been on this bike for a decade now. Cratered with it multiple times. Hit by car with it at least six times. It is a dirty, old bike with lot of sentimental value.
The Miyata ( Japan ) I have now is a great ,, just ride '' bicycle, but the tires and wheels are pushing 5+ years now. The front is wobbly as a worm. I abuse the hell out the bicycle. I ride very, very aggressively.
Can I get some strong steel wheel recommendations. (Which are not from China / Chinese.) I wish to avoid buying Chinese now whenever possible.
I am going to re-buy some Gatorskin tires. Had them on my pink / white Miele ( Canadian / Italian ). That Miele road bike got fucking jacked around 2 months ago when I left it outside the library. I am so salty. 23 and first bike I've had stolen.
I'd love some strong wheel recommendations (not carbon fiber though — too expensive).
What do any of you recommend for handlebar grip tape? (Should probably check out the sticky; probably has good information written about this already.
