I have a Mantis single motor 1500 watt rear motor and also a m365 which does 18-19mph. They both have their uses as fuck taking the mantic up a ton of stairs, it's like 25kg. The m365 weighs nothing and nobody cares if you bring it in the shops. I have found the m365 quite durable considering the motor power is increased to 31k constant and I jump it off pavements

Idk mate in my country both are illegal and for good reason too. Shit like that without license and registration shouldn't be allowed to go fast, way too dangerous for other people. A couple days ago I saw some dude on one of the fast scooters clip a car that was standing at a red light and then hit a pedestrian crossing the street a second later, both the rider and the pedestrian were injured. Fucker apparently couldn't stop or was trying to run the red or whatever and he was going like 35ish kph.

I think exemptions should made for those with motorcycle licenses. I have ridden 1000cc sports bikes for over a decade and am 100% safe riding a 60kph scooter on the road. An inexperienced rider could totally kill themselves on my 1500w scooter though.

While ago I bought Ninebot Max. Ridden around 600km on it so far. It's faster and more compact than my commuter fixie, so I sold the fixie and kept only offroad bike. Best mix of acceleration and stability I suppose. 10x2.5 or 10x3 are the standard for 40mph scoots. Will probably change over time though as large wheels have advantages.

This is ideal as it has the wheel size to not knock you over when there is a slight bump in the road, the agility of a normal scooter which isn't doing skate park tricks, a decent platform for comfortably travelling long distance and the size to hold larger cells.

wise choice, Ive owned a bike for years and skate in spare time so the switch was very fast...however, these things are very sketchy, compared to a bicycle they have horrible stopping power and very very twitchy, small cornering stuff I navigate with bikes easily are very different on scooters especially electric ones. Very usefull overall but handling simply isnt there.
