>>1473456You're not losing out anything going 9 speed sora over 10 speed tiagra.
Infact it's kind of good because it's far more compatible. You can use all 9 speed mechs with it, including mtb mechs, if you wanted wider gearing. and chains are cheaper.
10 speed tiagra is only compatible with 10 speed tiagra.
The only exception i'd give would be if you want to use it as a relatively serious road bike, ie do group rides maybe race it, strava, train, etc, then the extra 1 gear of closer spacing will be a genuine advantage, albeit not a game changer.
I think those brakes on the 3 will be pretty damn chinky and shit but the semi hydro proprietary giant ones on the 2 are bullshit also.
Aside from that, it's purely if you want tubeless or not. That's a personal choice thing. If you're going to be underbiking with it, ie, pushing its capability on rougher trails where you want to drop the pressure and not risk snake bites, riding it to its limits, tubeless will be great.
If it's more of an overkill road bike/commuter for most duties, and for smooth gravel you could ride on a road bike, then it's not a big deal. Infact you might prefer clinchers. And you can always upgrade your wheels to something better than either later.
