>>1473243>cripple (((road traffic)))What's wrong crippling unefficient personal vehicle traffic though? Utilitarian choice would be to make space for better and more efficient means of transportations. Or do you think driving car anywhere is something car owners should be entitled to? Even if it causes problems.
>>1473439Walkable environment is the best red pill. Environmentally good, cheap, healthy, fun, social, safe, light infrastructure etc. Caging doesn't have any of those benefits. And no I don't mean to ban cars or get rid of public transportation. Bikes are good too where there's space. It's just that most people shouldn't have to rely on machines on their everyday life. Walkable neighborhoods with jobs, services and friends. Ride a bike to near by neighborhoods for other friends, some new restaurant, maybe work and to get to the bus or train station. Take a train or bus to get to another side of the city or to distant places. If you really want to have your own car you could either just live in a rural area or at suburbs. But those places would ideally also have work places and daily services in walkable distances.
I know US may be lost case so maybe best that could happen would be some one nukeing states flat and then we Europeans could start the new world there again.
