Anyone know of a company that makes a mini velo that doesn't cost $1,000 ?

I looked at Respect Cycles. They make a seemingly nice little single speed mini velo and it only costs $420. However if you look around online it's apparently a scam company and dozens of people ordered bikes and never received them, even a year later.

Velo Orange makes an incredible mini velo, the Neutrino, but it's $2,500, like holy shit man.

I feel like there's a market for these just as simple fun around town bikes but I have yet to see a company offering them at anywhere close to a reasonable price.
