I'm thinking of building up a black Surly Steamroller single speed like this:

>650b x 47mm WTB Byway on/off road tires
>65 gear inches (something like a 50t chainring and 20t cog, it's my preferred gearing for the hilly terrain around me)
>Surly Sunrise bmx inspired handlebar

So it would look like a cross between the two bikes in the pic. Top is a Surly Straggler with 650b x 47 tires and Sunrise bars, bottom is a Steamroller with 650b x 47 tires and what looks like maybe Nitto North Road bars.

Cool idea? Stupid idea? Hipster idea?

My goal is to build a simple fun comfortable versatile bike that is exciting and makes me feel like a kid again.
