>>1483800>>1483810>>1483848Hey, thanks for that, I appreciate it. I'll try doing my best with the team I'm in but we'll see where it ends up. Sorry for comparing you to the people in the ICC!
And yeah, I'm realising now there are a good few people that just barely get by in their job, even whilst I was being trained beforehand (before I joined NR) I remember my trainer saying about some NR bloke trying to get out of something that was recorded. Management doesn't help either at times, we seem to be trying to get everything with the least amount of men possible and the least amount of time possible
I'm honestly pretty interested in the plant side of things, been enjoying messing around with Trimble kits and tamping, shame I don't get much of it compared to just rerails. I know they're starting up with drones, that seems pretty interesting but no clue about where that would be used outside of Civil inspections.
If anything the worst thing I have on site is the contractors - majority of them are absolutely bang on, however the company we use are just horrifically bad, lads with zero experience or a shit tonne but somehow still are clueless. Having 2/3 NR lads on site with them still having to baby the contractors isn't fun.
have a tamper, some bloke came out and threatened to shoot us with a shotgun so it was a good night all round.
