i have this one route i take like 2-3 times a month, used to be 59-minute ish with my old bike, got it down to 57:02 with my new one when i was in peak condition last year
>several stops for traffic and slow bicyclists/walkers
>3-4 km/h slower on the first flat section
>headwind on the second flat section
>feel slow as shit throughout
>pulverize previous record by fucking two minutes
i have no idea what happened there. of course i took no shortcuts or anything. i've been working on getting below the 57 minute mark for years. was it the mexifuel? is chili con carne the answer? i am seriously confused.
