What is your country's most aesthetic railway line, /n/? As in has the best views and comfiest service, the sort of thing you'd recommend to tourists. Can be a functioning passenger service or a tourist exclusive one.

For the countries I've lived in
>New Zealand
Midland line aka TranzAlpine (tourist route)
No debate on this, it's one of the best lines in the world, but naturally is turboexpensive and is packed with 70 year olds on package holidays. Ignore them and it's almost like a rollercoaster though

>Scotland
Highland Main Line (passenger)
Some people will say west highland but I reckon in the winter nothing is comfier than the Perth to Inverness stretch with all the snow and rolling hills. Going from Edinburgh too would count the Forth Rail Bridge and Fife Coastal stations which are supremely comfy in themselves. I did this when I was returning home after the 'rona first went to lockdown and being in an empty LNER from Inverness was elite.

Post yours, we should make an official list
