But whatever! The state DOTs really don't care. A few months ago, New Jersey had the URL for its official coronavirus website plastered all over its changeable message signs for WEEKS, even though putting URLs on signs is explicitly forbidden by section 2A.06 paragraph 14 (except on carpool-information signs and signs that are meant to be read by pedestrians/bicyclists rather than by motorists).
