What would have happened if the Titanic got lucky and only 5 compartments were breached and the flooding was slow enough in the 5th compartment for the crew to stay on top of it with the pumps. What then? How would they have recovered the Titanic after the passengers were taken aboard other ships. Are there any cases like this in that time period to use as a reference?
