>>1513659The other issue is longevity. You can anodized a titanium bike, as titanium is usually left raw. You can't do that with steel or aluminum, it rusts.
So you have to put a clear coat over the anodization, which dulls it greatly and makes it look like a muddy mess.
Also, even if you get a very high end anodized ti frame, it the ano wears pretty quickly, and it picks up oil and fingerprints like nothing else. These frames look bright because they're fresh and shot in ideal lighting. A year from now there will still be color, but nowhere near as vibrant.
