Are those 250 hours all training hours, or just flight hours? Because I can imagine the training also includes tons of theoretical lessons, simulator lessons and such.

somebody posted the barber school/police thing on normiebook and I replied with simple "well commercial pilots only need 250 hours". I got a deluge of hate from tons of people I went to college with, it was bizarre.

I made no political statement or anything, just stated the fact and people were knives out ready to kill me.

I am astonished this idiocy in EASA regs hasn't been more public in the MAX cluster-fuck.

You need 1500 hours under FAA regs, but only 200 under EASA, and all of the third world countries that play by EASA rules. Coincidentally, the PF in both max crashes was the right seater with 200-odd hours. Funny that.
