How isn't it the ultimate meme?
>chain crossing all day every day like it's nothing
>the weight savings that come from the 1x drivetrain gets diminished by the addition of a heavy as fuck cassette
>wears faster
>less gearing options
>can't pedal backwards on all of the gears
I'm not against technology, but this seems dumb in every way.
I love simplicty but, I never felt like it shifting gears on a 3x drivetrain needed too much thought. The only legit benefit I see is having less parts to take care of, but that simplicity also gets diminished by having a system that will require chainring replacements and RD adjustments more often.
Can someone explain to me what are the actual benefits of 1x drivetrains? Because I don't get it.
