>>1529485For me the need to name my bikes other than "bike" arises only when chatting with bike-related friends during periods when I happen to own several bikes, like, "I'll be riding [Name]" when planning a ride, or "I need to replace that and that on my [Name]". These "names" are either brand or model names or their short or diminutive forms, or colors ("the green one"), or bike types.
I know a guy who had a bike he called "little mosquito" (in my language that's one word, with a diminutive affix), rather aptly - that was a fixie conversion on an old steel road bike frame, spraypainted black, with short riser bars.
