>>1533164>Hello /n/ I’m an /o/tist searching for a new hobby. I’ve had bicycles before but they were just casual bikes. I wanna get myself my first “real bike”. I’m looking at this one here, looks like it’s made for beginners, what I want from a bike is something that is mainly made for mountain and dirt trails that can also be ridden on the street. Any recommendations ?correct me if i'm wrong, but i translate this into meaning you'll be riding -mostly- on the street, and maybe some smooth paths
in which case, that's not a 'real bike', or atleast not a serious or a particularly good bike, it's a casual bike.
basically the equivalent of stacey's base level jeep that she never takes offroad.
nothing wrong with it, but i highly doubt you'll get much into the hobby like this. It's just not very fun. If you actually have good mtb trails near you, by all means, get this bike, it's a great idea.
the other thing you might consider, seeing as you say you're into cars and therefor maybe interested in mechanical things, is buying a nicer older bike and fixing it up. For the casual mixed grade riding i think you'll be doing, they are superior to modern mtbs.
