A few years ago I was on the bus with my friend while a cold I had was wearing off, on a route that I almost never rode. There was this guy on the bus who seemed to consider himself some kind of bus elder. He wished people a good afternoon as they got off the bus and helped parents with getting their kids off the bus. However, I made the serious error of coughing, and this guy immediately became enraged, shouting at me that I shouldn't be on the bus if I'm coughing. When I got off at my stop he said "DON'T DO THAT AGAIN!"
There was also another time when I saw a guy's face get absolutely pounded and bloody on the subway but that was mainly funny.
