A well known mass market brand like Specialized will be mehed at by someone who jizzes over Toei, Alex Singer, Richard Sachs, Vanilla, Pegoretti, etc. Prestige requires a bit of exclusivity. It's pretty rare to find a brand that is well known but exclusive yet still more or less liked by everyone. Maybe Colnago? Maybe 3rensho... they're an interesting case because of Konno drunkenly caging people to death. That might make them even more legendary.
