square bottom bracket help

cant find the 126mm size I need of one of these, what should I do?
my other option is replacing the bearings with ceramic ones?

But yeah. First. Open it up. And try to clean the bearings and re-grease them and adjust them again.
For the BB to be unserviceable, It's the bearing surfaces which will be pitted and not the bearings themselves. If that's the case, no, you have to replace it. Replacing the ball bearings themselves is easy enough though. And likely a good idea if the surfaces aren't pitted but the balls are dull. Ceramic is a meme. But the surfaces are not parts you can get.

just realize the shell is 65mm instead of the standard 68mm. So im fucked anyway

I highly doubt that is true. Are you measuring it with a caliper?
I think you're measuring it wrong.

If it is really 65mm though, it's workable.
People often put 73mm bottom brackets in 68mm shells with a few spacers. You can do the same thing with a 68mm bottom bracket.

yeah i have a caliper , yeah i think im going to order a 68mm if and 123mm . the cheapest one , see if i can make it work like that . Im pretty sure the previous owner did some work on that bottom bracket and completely fucked it

To upgrade the bottom bracket you'll need to better understand what you're doing. Based on the image in >>1552075 it seems you've got an Italian bottom bracket. It doesn't matter that your frame is Japanese. So a cheap shitty sealed Shimano won't fit the bill and the drive side cup will be threaded differently because it's Italian. If you really want it to work hunt down the correct Italian BB.

No you can't upgrade your frame to take a different type of BB. If you don't like what you have buy something not as nice that takes more standard parts.

First, make sure your measurements are correct since 35.5x65 is very unusual (maybe it's standard and you have a 3mm measurement error lol).

It would help if you can provide a frame ID, maybe someone can find the spec listed somewhere.

did you buy the frame bare or do you have the original bottom bracket?

I would suggest you go to a co-op/bike kitchen/second hand parts type place and find an old shot italian bb to test if it will thread in and if it does then chase the threads with it and then buy yourself a new italian bb (you can get an italian un55 with 128 spindle and you can also get hollowtech II italian) and some 1mm spacers and space it out. The latter modern system would be easier really. What crank do you want to use?

there is another thing though. If you have a meme crank with the frame considering italian nonsense it might be the meme italian taper.
