>>1554260Other than it being ugly as fuck it seems pretty nice. Saddle might be uncomfortable for a noob but that's replaceable.
De-uglifying:
- remove decals from wheels if possible
- remove the protector(?) from the bottom of the downtube that isn't necessary unless you're riding through rocks and mud and shit
- go into bike shop and get new black tape to replace that gross shit and get them to put it on for you. Probably $20-$25 or so. You can get tape cheaper on the internet but you'd have to put it on yourself, and there's a learning curve to doing that and having it look decent.
-remove as much of the remaining white as your budget allows. Cables, saddle, seatpost, saddle bag, bottle cage...
>>1554392Can't see the tire size but seems like 700x25? (written on the sidewalls). First thing is to get tire pressure right. Start at 90PSI and only go up if you get flats.
Other than that you might be able to get wider, squishier tires if they'll fit. Find where the tires come closest to touching the frame and measure how close it comes. If there's at least 7mm of clearance or so you could probably go up a size.
You could raise or lower the seat too if that's not right. If you pedal with your heels the seat should be just high enough so you can lock your knees out at the bottom.
