>>1564018it's really amazing, you can ride fast and feel perfectly comfortable as if you're playing a video game or something. if you slow down in a windy spot so that the airflow detaches the wind kinda "screams" but it's nothing as bad as the wind noise i get if i ride without a helmet with my ears exposed. you can wear full size prescription glasses, if you're in between helmet sizes you might need to go up a size but i needed the large for my head shape anyway (if i forced the medium onto my head the MIPS liner couldn't move and the shield applied pressure to my ears) and you might want the bigger size so the tail will sit lower and so you can adjust the angle of the helmet. especially in track cycling as opposed to indoor cycling the larger helmet might be more aero. hambini also critiqued peak torque's aero position and talked about the tail. the large still fits slimmer on me than in pic related, i have half my nose and my ear tips poking out.
now i'm waiting for the shop to get back to me about the visor. in usa you can probably contact giro directly and have a smooth replacement process. i ordered a clear shield (the basic model only comes with a tinted shield) from bike24 but received a tinted one and they said they only have those so i've sent it back. i'll try hollandbikeshop next for a clear shield for winter afternoon/evening rides because with the tint it gets a bit sketchy in low light environments.
