i think i've found a really good reflector for europe anons

it's smol but still has the D, E, GB approval marks for safe and legal riding in the dark
attaches easily with a zip tie and has a ball joint to adjust its orientation
it can be found on different european online stores

Agreed but maybe with a bias towards dynamic reflectors -- reflectors on pedals and the like. As fred I don't get to have reflectors but I do wear bright shoes which (in daylight hours, the fredding time) work like moving reflectors and signify that something living is making the bike move.

Happen to both ride and drive a lot at night in a country with no regulations on this matter. On one hand it's sweet to not have to cover myself in reflectors and be allowed to have a fucking sun for a headlight, on the other there are sooo many ghost riders that not only ride with no lights but also deliberately take off reflectors because they think they are uncool. There are also a lot of morons that blind you with their arrays of LEDs that shine everywhere except the road, but those are mostly e-scooter fags that ride on sidewalks.
Nothing can replace a hi-vis vest. If not applicable, at very least don't wear black.
Blinkenlights on their own are for dawn, well-lit streets and bike lanes/sidewalks. If the street is dark enough that car headlights provide more light than street lights then blinkers are only applicable as secondary lights because drivers can't process how quickly they approach you if you constsntly blink in and out of existence.
Pedal reflectors are deceptively visible, it's hard to ignore them, same with wheel reflectors. Maybe it's the natural rhythm they move at. If you can't have them, get reflective bracelets on ankles, same effect.
Front light is mostly for you so that you don't plow into every pothole, nobody's going to approach you from the front because bikes are slow. I found that a frame-mounted light generally works better than a handlebar-mounted one. Just like on a car, do a brake check and see if you can stop in the distance that you light up, go slower if you can't.

That's why you have a sun for a headlight and something that is aimed to not blind as well.
The chinese renita grill is basicly your highbeam, the other your lowbeam.

Also:

I've got some of the white 3M stuff, works great.
You can stick it to rims, use it as decals on the frame or whatever.
Looks way better than most reflectors (and if you care, it's more aero and weights less as well)

I replaced my first one when it failed at 18 months. second time around I didn't bother

they're also weak as fuck, unless you go at unracer speeds you can barely stop in time

I work at a bike shop(Netherlands), we sell a bike by gazelle.there these 2 models made the gazelle C7 HMB and the Grenoble HMB(bosch)
It's a mid-motor ped-elec, the rear light fires run thru the rear fender and it ends in an integrated light thats nearly flush with the rear fender/mudguard.
The rear fender is made of the shittiest plastic imaginable, a veryyyy slight bump will crack it and ruin the rear light.
Replacing it requires;
Removing 2 of 3 bolts of the mid-motor and lower it, exposing the wires
Disconnecting wires
Punching/drilling appropriate holes in the new fender(not always tho)
re-connecting all the wires
removing rear wheel(7/8 speed gear hub + track end(derailing chain necessary)
all that shit
Dutch e-bikes are shit
But B&M makes it worse
70 euro for a fucking disposable quality plastic fender with a hole it for B&M cuck lights
