>>1562725I don't really care if fatties want to use the bike lane, as long as they ride properly. Fat COVID ebike noobs think that everyone else is going at top speed at all times because to them anything more than walking pace is top speed (see: every unracer complaint about lance armstrongs). So when a cyclist slows down, maybe just MAYBE it's because there's a hazardous condition that the ebiker should pay attention to also. But they don't, because experience hasn't yet taught them that the best speed to go isn't necessarily the physical limitations of your wattage.
Soon enough they'll all have their first big crash or scare and this will teach them some sense but unfortunately there's a lot of hamplanets who still have to learn the hard way and I would rather they not fuck up my bike or send me to the hospital as part of their "learning experience". And because those things can hit speeds undreamt of by a noob, they'll experience that lesson at "nibali going down civiglio" speeds and quite possibly die in the process, and then maybe the karens will lobby to have ebikes banned. I certainly am not going to try to stop them.
