I was booked a flight on United Airlines for a job (not my choice of airline). They’ve given up on social distancing - the check in area was crowded with no blocked off seats or spaced apart benches. When it was time to board they did it so quickly that the jet bridge completely backed up. I don’t think I had ever seen it this backed up before the pandemic. United is also completely filling planes now - no more empty middle seats or social distanced flights. I can’t afford to get sick. I need to be able to work or face eviction. We’re still in a pandemic but it’s not shocking that profits are way more important than passenger safety.
