Just picked up my bike from the shop from a complete overhaul tune up

Now my crankset is creaking on every peddle stroke and it sucks to ride on now. When I dropped the bike off the crankset was pretty smooth, just needed a new chain and some BB lube. Now what Do I do to fix this? Do I just go back to the shop and once again tell them the bozo who worked on this fucked up?

Unironically yes. Bicycles are extremely simple machines. If you're repairing bicycles for a living, then you should definitely be competent enough to change a chain and BB without messing up the rest of the bike.

Go back and tell them to fix it at no extra charge. If they refuse, revoke payment if you paid by credit card. Else, leave them a poor review and find another bike shop.

Thank you, I agree. This is not the first time this shop has dropped the ball. When I had them build it up, the breaks were misaligned and the seat was not torqued down properly.

that's not the shops fault
bolts loosen especially at the correct torque which is quite conservative and the best idea to avoid damaging anything.
And you didn't want to adjust it anyway?
You don't have hex keys?

Custom builds really are the provenance of riders who know what they're doing and take some interest in working on their own bikes.

no I have hex keys, however the seat itself was so loose that while I was riding it back the whole seat went up at an angle and I actually nearly fell off. this has not happened on any other of my bikes

I have a fancier single bolt design seat post and I've been having to adjust the seat nearly every week, or every few days, due to the saddle working its way upwards. its probably just a shit post + saddle combo.
