>GCN has many tests comparing disks, rims and tyre widths, stopping distance, distance travelled after stopping pedalling with various tyres, pressures, widths, etc., etc., blah, blah, blah. I have only been in the saddle for 60 yrs from getting my first race bike in 1960. Have now switched to full carbon, tubeless, disks, wider tyres, etc. I am amazed at the feeling AND comfort... very important as you age, BTW. On my ride today I continued to be gobsmacked at the responsive feeling of the new technology. If an old fart like me can feel it, imagine what is does to young legs, lungs and hearts. BTW, my two Chromoloy bikes are collecting dust after decades of service.
