I suppose it may have the same weaving problems as a cloverleaf, but on the other hand, weaving traffic is now separate to through traffic, so you don't have a mess of low speed entering and exiting traffic alongside high speed through traffic. They're also neat little places for toll plazas, plus the green zones inside the interchange are actually large enough to support rehabilitation reserves or even farming plots, like in Europe or Japan.
Admittedly, they crumple under much heavier traffic, and you'll need an actual 4-way interchange to make traffic flow slightly more smoothly. At that point though, the problem is probably beyond roads not having enough lanes.
